WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?

It is a natural state that we experience every day. It allows engagement with the unconscious to help you make changes that may seem impossible by yourself.

WHAT CAN IT CHANGE?

Your ‘inner mind’ or unconscious can help with anything that is processed through the brain: phobias, eating, smoking, self-esteem, motivation, the list is endless.

CAN I BE HYPNOTISED?

Hypnosis is a focused or distracted state of mind you already experience naturally, so a good therapist will be able to apply it to achieve the positive results you want.

Hypnosis changes lives

use your unconscious to achieve results

Qualified since 1992 hypnotherapist Lance Trendall uses the natural hypnotic state so you can access inner resources to change things that are impossible consciously.

You remain aware of everything and stay in control, yet while you are in hypnosis your unconscious is more receptive to changes that it might block when you try alone.

“It is astonishing how powerful your unconscious is, so why not use that amazing resource to break free from a phobia or change your life for the better?”

what do you want to change?
Are you ready?

What are you thinking of changing?

Many people struggle with a phobia for years, believing it is impossible to stop the panic ‘fight-flight-freeze’ response, because they think they’ve tried everything. Short video on phobias

You might have a habit you can’t break free from, hypnosis can enlist the power of your unconscious to make behaviour patters much easier to change.

Limiting beliefs can hold us back, an inner voice saying “you can’t do it” or a thought like ‘it’s hopeless’ doesn’t promote success. Hypnosis can change limiting beliefs to unleash your potential.

Sports professionals know what they should do and practice relentlessly to create positive habits, you could use hypnosis to program yourself for better results. A hypnotic ‘virtual’ wire between the head and a golfball could stop a golfer’s head lifting to improve the accuracy of the golf swing.

There are many ways hypnosis can improve life, think about increasing motivation, self-esteem, confidence, you don’t have to have a serious problem to benefit from hypnotherapy.

Are you ready to change?

Something might trigger your decision to seek help through hypnosis.

An event, like a holiday abroad, might compel the decision to seek help with a fear of flying.

If someone has learned to manage their ’emetophobia’ (fear of vomiting or seeing others being sick) then becoming a parent makes breaking free from this phobia almost essential. Perhaps you’re embarrassed to tell a prospective employer that you’re afraid of using lifts?

Your concern about health makes stopping smoking or changing eating patterns more urgent. All sorts of things can finally motivate you to take action and being on this website is a good sign that you’re ready to ‘go for it’ at last.

Lets chat about your unique situation and what you’d like to change.

Why hypnosis?

What has brought you to consider hypnosis? Are you looking for yourself or to encourage someone else to get help? Did a friend get great results so you’re wondering if you can be hypnotised? Trust me, everyone can be hypnotised, it is a natural state we all do every day and with the right guidance, you will be able to benefit from hypnotherapy. It is unethical to guarantee results, but every day people benefit so it is easy to expect that you will too.

This website can’t answer all your questions, an initial conversation by phone, text or email is free and a brief review of your personal situation will tell us how hypnosis might help.

If you’re comparing therapists: Lance Trendall qualified in 1992 using Eriksonian ‘indirect’ hypnosis and NLP techniques through British Hypnosis Research (BHR) with Stephen Brooks. This was followed by studying the rapid and more direct techniques of Dave Elman with Atkinson Ball College of Advanced Hypnotherapy (ABCH) with additional training from the late, great Ormond McGill ‘The Dean of American Hypnotism’ 1913-2005. More recently Lance became a practitioner of Kinetic Shift (KS) with UK Hypnosis Academy (UKHA).

“Since 1992 I’ve worked with a wide range of issues, each being unique. I treat clients with respect and confidentiality is assured, although I love it when clients want to shout about their dramatic change and how they’ve broken free from a phobia, a habit, addiction or a pattern of behaviour they had failed to change on their own.

“Call me to see how you might benefit”. Lance Trendall
